The closing tip
pressure of the 'A' Clamp can be varied by sliding the spring within the
clamp frame:-vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
a. Remove the compression pad. fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
b. For maximum closing tip pressure the spring should be
in the rear position. To achieve this insert the end of a flat tip screwdriver
under the spring end, twist screwdriver just enough to lift spring end,
turn clamp over and repeat to the other side, the spring will move backwards.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm c. To reduce closing
tip pressure push the coil of the spring forward with the handle of the
screwdriver. d. After either operation ease spring ends to center of clamp
handle. nnnnnnn d. after either operation
ease spring ends to center of clamp handle.
How
to use the 'A' Clamp with it's unique compression pad for applying edge
lippings:- For wide lippings up to 55mm
place the pad over the spring coil. For narrow lippings, lift pad off spring
coil and place over the body of the clamp mouth NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
a. Place clamp into workpiece applying gentle forward pressure whilst
centering lipping onto work and compression pad onto lipping.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN b. Apply full forward pressure.
The compression pad will now hold the lipping firmly while the glue sets,
without marking the work.
To
use the 'A' Clamp as a corner clamp:- nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
a. Place the prepared work on a flat surface. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
b. Place the belt around work without any twists, pull the free end
of the belt through the tension lock buckle avoiding excessive force. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
c. Set the spring in the clamp in the forward position (remove
the compression pad if in place). Remove end tips of each clamp by pushing
end tip corner forward with thumb. You will need a clamp for each corner.
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn d.
Place the end tips between the belt and the work 6mm away from each side
of the corner. Push the clamp forward over the belt and tips ensuring it
holds positively in place.
