of these tools have been fully checked over and are in perfect
working order. Where thought necessary for cosmetic appearance
they have been repainted in as near orginal colours as possible.
These tools are aimed at the craftsman who wishes to obtain
tools that are either no longer available or at a much reduced
cost of the existing retail price. They are not particularly
aimed at the tool collector and are generally not in there
original boxes.

Record
STAYSET smoothing planes No.3, No.4 and No.4.5. All these
planes are ex-college but are in good condition and have been
renovated. The blades have been ground ready for final honing,
the STAYSET was a Record innovation and makes re-sharpening
much quicker. To buy a new equivalent smoothing plane would
cost atleast £160. These are available at £65 each.
The No.3 and 4 have Rosewood handles, the No.4.5 polished Beech.

surfaces to give good grip. 7/8" x 1/2" guide bar
and square cut thread & will clamp onto a bench upto 2"
